Our Dad Alec, was a very devoted husband, caring Father and a loyal friend to many. He had various interests which included wildlife and classical music and he enjoyed sharing these with others. Dad also had many talents, which included photography and drawing and he was a brilliant source of general knowledge, although he always remained modest. It was only when he married our Mother, Annetta that he really blossomed into the person that we all loved. He generally had a quiet nature, but Mam brought him out of his shell; he was always friendly and made conversation when people came to visit. Dad also had a great sense of humour and would put a smile on everyone’s face. He loved our Mam very much and would do whatever it took to make her happy. Our Mam also brought out Dad’s warmth and affectionate side, he cared for his family and he loved spending quality time together. He was the best Dad in the world; a good listener and very supportive. He was not only a Father, but a true friend and we feel very proud to have called him our Dad. Our Dad was a strong believer in helping others and he was always willing to support his family and friends and give to others less fortunate. He would always put others first and he never complained. We cherish the years we have spent with him, he was one in a million and we’ll love him always.
